Examining Board (EMMCA´s vision)

EMMCA will be offering numerous designations for manual medicine professionals which will be  listed on this website. The EMMCA examination program is on par with the highest application and testing standards offered in the manual medicine field. Contact EMMCA directly for further information.

Board Certifications in Manual Medicine and Chiropractic

The Estonian Manual Medicine and Chiropractic Association intends to provide the following designations to qualified members of the EMMCA. Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Manual Medicine Doctor MMD

  • Has completed an accredited doctoral program of a minimum of 4000 hours in allopathic medicine, manual medicine, osteopathy, chiropractic, physiotherapy, or naturopathy with at least 2000 hours of pre- or post-graduate manual medicine studies  in accordance with „WHO guidelines on basic training and safety in chiropractic”
  • Is a licensed medical, chiropractic or osteopathic physician or physiotherapist  who has completed a 300 hour accredited post-graduate program in manual medicine approved by the Examining Board
  • Has passed the EMMCA board or the Examining Board written and practical examinations.

 Manual Medicine Therapist – M.M.T.

  • Has successfully completed a minimum of 2000 hours in manual medicine studies at a chiropractic, osteopathic or manual medicine school
  • Is a licensed practitioner or health care provider
  • Has completed a 120 hour program in chiropractic, osteopathic or manual medicine approved by the Examination Board or organised by EMMCA
  • Has passed the EMMCA Examining Board written and practical examinations.

 Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine – D.C.M.

  • Has successfully completed an accredited doctoral program of a minimum of 4000 hours of study at an internationally accredited chiropractic college of university faculty in accordance with accepted minimum standards set by the CCE and/or the ECU
  • Must already hold a valid license to practice chiropractic issued by another country in accordance with the „WHO guidelines on basic training and safety in chiropractic”
  • Has passed the EMMCA Examining Board written and practical examinations.

Chiropractic Therapist – C.T.

  • Has successfully completed a minimum of 1000 hours in chiropractic studies at an educational facitlity or by way of private training with teachers authorized by EMMCA
  • Is a licensed therapist / practitioner or health care provider
  • Has completed a 100 hour program in chiropractic assessment and instrument adjusting protocols approved by the Examining Board
  • Has passed the EMMCA Examining Board written and practical examinations.
